Prof. Dr. David Florysiak
Dr. David Florysiak, born in 1979, is a Professor of FinTech at the IU International University of Applied Sciences in Munich. He is the program director for the Bachelor's degree in FinTech and teaches courses in FinTech and Finance.
His research and teaching interests lie in the areas of crypto-assets (cryptocurrencies and tokens), FinTech, and quantitative methods in finance. Prof. Florysiak has published in international journals and previously held professorships at the Ludwig-Maximilian-University of Munich, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and the University of Southern Denmark. He was a visiting scholar at the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
In addition to his research and teaching activities, Prof. Florysiak supports companies in the areas of crypto-assets and FinTech with consulting services, application development, and training. Since 2013, Prof. Florysiak has been an independent expert witness in the fields of crypto-assets and financial instruments and markets.
